Flatmate growing weed

    Hi

One of my flatmates is growing weed in common living space areas. I myself do not smoke the substance and in the interest of harmony have never raised the issue as a problem (we are flatmates not friends). If the police discovered my flatmates activities, I wonder am I legally culpable as well? It makes me anxious. Apologies if this post violates rules of the forum.

My Non-educated guess would be that if it's in common areas, which you both are using, you would be aware of this. And since it's an offence i assume that you could be liable for not reporting it?

    Assumptions and guesses though.

It would be the occupier rather than the owner that would be liable (assuming the owner doesn't know your flatmate is growing weed). With regards your liability, it's not an offence to fail to report a crime.

I'd figure out the name of a subspecies of acer palmatum with similar shaped leaves...
