Cheapest hotel in Galway?

Hey folks,

Going down to Galway for the weekend so we are looking to book somewhere as cheap as possible. There will be 4 of us and we will be down there for 2 nights, the 16th and 17th of August. Anyone know the chepaset hotel/hostel/(with at least a bit of privacy) close enough to eyre square?

Well ranging from 40 - 80 per night pp.

There is 4 of us, so only need one room for the two nights.

Jurys I think charge per room so you can put as many as you like in there..check with them i'd say.

Well then, Travellodge charge around €70 per night for a room, are about 1.6km from the city centre. Otherwise try www.hostelgalway.com or Snoozles hostel for around €85 per night for a 4 bunk room or any major hotel booking engine for special offers in the Harbour or Jurys, you may get lucky..

Sleepzone is pretty handy - think they have double rooms too

Garverys on Eyre Sq - I've seen signs outside for 49 a night

Works out at 50 quid each, so 200 total for the two days. Seems pretty sweet, anyone have any experience with this place?
