Golf Boards US PGA Championship Competition

10-08-2009 9:32am#1Padraig Harrington goes head-to-head with Tiger again this thursday as he begins his defence of the US PGA Championship at the formidable Hazeltine National Golf Club in the season's final major. But this is just the hors d'oeuvres, as thursday also sees the start of the season's final 'virtual' Major! It's the final chance to join pioneering legends of the 'virtual game' JerryHandbag(Masters), krahsrekop(US Open) and force eleven(Open Championship) :pac:
Rules are the same as before.
You get 4 picks as follows:
1. Top 5 - One pick from the top five in the official world golf rankings - Woods, Mickelson, Casey, Perry, Stricker
2. European - One pick from the European entrants for the tournament(not in the world top 5)
3. American - One pick from the American entrants for the tournament(not in the world top 5)
4. Rest of the World - One pick from the non-American and non-European entrants(again not in the world top 5)

The winner will have the best aggrogate score for their 4 players over the four rounds. In the event of a tie, and where picks are identical, the person who submitted their entry first will be the winner. A tie where picks are not identical will be decided on best final round aggrogate(or best individual pick's score if necessary). Depending again on the number of entries there will be a cut after round 3. Picks who missed the cut(in the real event) will be given worst round+1 for rounds 3 & 4.
Entries for this must be in before noon(Irish Time) on thursday. Leaderboards will be updated as soon as possible after each round.
