If you've started a new job, and still are on probation, are you inelegible for a mortgage til that probation period is up, or will a good credit history suffice these days??

Very unlikely a bank would be intertested, unless you are on a high salary wirth great prospects. Money in the bank and a track record of savings would be equally valuable

If you're on probation, it's highly unlikely a lender will be eager to do business with you. Sorry !

however, saying that, you could get approval in principal with the condition of passing probabtion and being made permanent.

but...some banks want 3+ continuous employment.

soooo, best thing to do is ring and find out!!!

    best of luck
    :)
