Analogue Service issue

    I have NTL analogue service, Digital signal is not yet available in Bayside area, of late the reception has got very poor. E4 reception is perfect but BBC2 is terrible. how can there be such a difference in the one service.

    Any help appreciated.

    The picture quality of BBC2 on analogue is terrible here in Bray too, the colour saturation is really screwed up relative to the other channels. I never watch it though (have digital) so have never complained about it. It wasn't always like that though, so it may be worth calling them about it.

    BBC2 reception is terrible here too in North Dublin.

    im in bayside and i have digital tv with ntl. they are also upgrading all the cable to fibre optic at the moment so HD, broadband and phone can be used. my bbc2 isnt great on analogue either

    I have been in contact with NTL and where I am in Bayside there is no digital Service, they have rewired the area for the service but not yet provided.

    i was only recently able 2 receive digital tv. hope its not long before phone and broadband is available. u could try a singal booster?

    That's because RTE's DAB radio services from 3 Rock is close in frequency to the frequency NTL use for BBC2

    So in areas where the wiring is old or areas particularly close to 3 Rock the DAB signal is overpowering the BBC2 signal enough to cause those problems .

    That would explain it then ... I can clearly see 3 Rock from my window. My cabling should be reasonably up to date though.
