Rugby 7's Teams around the country?

Just wonderin if there r any 7's rugby teams around the country ?

preferably around Dublin

this is a bit of a shock as the sport could soon be in the Olympics.

I'm sure they exist but I've never come across any in Ireland. Usually clubs will just enter a 7's team based on their 15 man side.

You could try finding out info by emailing the IRFU who could give you details on any 7's teams / tournaments around (info@IrishRugby.ie)...I'm sure there's 7's leagues you can join, but simular to tag rugby, teams are mostly just based around a few friends putting a team together...7's is a pretty small sport here, very little representation at international level, although I know guys like Keatley etc. have played 7's, any 7's squads I've seen have usually been fairly poor.

I think there's a kinsale 7's tournament also, but have no idea what type of teams are in it etc., so you might want to look that up to.

i'm in trinity myself and we run a sevens tournament at the end of the season.
i'm wondering if there might be serious people around looking to start up some sort of league or tournament which may show the national 7's selectors some players with more potential at 7's than 15's...
