So the man from Del Monte lives somewhere around the city centre/Claddagh/Salthill area, yeah?

Oh, and there are 3 public toilets in Galway, but only on the outskirts...

Win! I'll be moving city soon, I hope someone has done a similar map for the place I'm going.

(You're bound to piss people off by the way)

I see Bohermore is a maybe and Liosban/Riverside a no . Maybe reverse that but otherwise it is spot on :D

And it has not changed in 30 years

Nice to see I live in a Yes bit

well done my good man, I'd put my maybe as a yes but thats just my opinion

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,398 ✭✭✭inisboffin

I seem to be in a no :(
I'd disagree, but then again I'd put some of the bogs as deffo yeses, and some nos on some yeses in town!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,180 ✭✭✭Interceptor

I used live in a Yes but due to property profiteering I now live in the Boggs. Chume to be precise...

I'd like to see you draw a map of Chume and get to use any of your green crayons. Pah.

    woo! I'm in a maybe!

Reminds me of this, I'm in a No area :(

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,398 ✭✭✭inisboffin

Walking home past lovely trees and gardens today, I've decided to firmly disagree and state that my no is absolutely a yes..or at least a maybe.. Think I prefer maybe anyway, as Xiney said, house prices and all that! ;)

    Still love the map tho.

Perhaps I'm reading it wrong but it seems to suggest Gleann Dara is in a 'Yes' area. Surely not!

I live in a yes so it'd be pretty realistic to me:D

I am an absolute yes =D

Is it just yes to Salthill, Taylors bits of Knocnakara and town.

Map says it's a NO for Kingston and all of Knocknacarra? That probably makes sense when you consider the traffic, but the snobs in Kingston won't be happy :-)

This map has lost me. The Maybe section above the Yes area?? Are we talking Dangan/Bushy Park?? Where does the Yes section end??

    Overall though, good effort!

Great idea. Good to put in a few clues about suburbs - mr Just and I just had a disagreement about whether Knocknacarra is a Yes or a Maybe.

I'd have to agree with all the yes/no bits myself: there are fine bits in some of the No's, but it takes a bit of insider knowledge to figure out what's what.

(And I live in a Yes!)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 445 ✭✭ladhrann

Knocknacarra should definitely be a no anyway.

OP what is it you're searching for exactly?

The part by the Golf Club up to Joyce's and along the Barna road is a 'Yes'. Further up hill, towards the WDR, rapidly becomes a definite 'No'.

    That's the Kingston Road

It's also Knocknacarra since it's too far out to be considered Salthill and Knocknacarra road is right in the middle of it.

The Kingston Road is, well, a road, not a suburb.

Here is the area of which I speak:

In a funny way, you're probably right, not that it matters in the context of this map. Kingston Road is a relatively new name anyway - it didn't exist until about 30 - 35 years ago. Until then, Taylor's Hill stretched as far as Knocknacarra Cross. Old maps in the early 1800s show what's now Kingston Road as being called Circular Road, which of course is now a road in a completely different place.
