right, moved up to dublin recently and joined TF Sandyford (mostly because of the reports I read here) delighted with the place it has everything I could ever need.

Small problem, most of the dumbells aren't marked so i dont have a clue how much each weighs, spent ages trying to figure out the system with a few marked dumbells and couldn't for the life of me figure it out! Is there some secret to this?

sometimes the bar weighs 1kg and others it seems to weigh 2kg, I'm thoroughly stumped!

I was a member in the mardkye in cork and all the dumbells are rubber so the weight of each was engraved on them so that why I'm asking this stupid q with a few years weight training under my belt.

any help would be greatly appreciated!!

For the purpose of answering your question, I'm saying you're from
    Galway.

So what you do is find a really hot chick (important).
Explain to her the problem with the weights, or whatever.

Then ask her where's she from.
    She'll say Dublin.

Then you say ' I'm from Galway. Do you have any Galway in you'
    She'll say 'no'.
You say 'Do you want some?'

Is there a scales in the gym???

It'll look a bit weird weighing some but, if you find out the 10s 20s 30s you should be able to have an educated guess at the rest... failingthat just ask someone that looks like they know what they're doing!!!

they noramally climb in 2s or 2.5s

Transform is a member here who goes there, I bet he will know. Maybe edit your post and put TF sandyford in the title so he notices, or pm him. (you have to click on advanced when editing a post to be able to change the title.)

If I had a gym with no weights I would simply write it on them with a marker after weighing.
