Landlord won't return deposit

What, if any, action can be taken against a landlord who, having guaranteed the return of a deposit by a certain date, fails to do so, and continues to push the date back?? Say, from promising to return it in mid-July, it is then promised in "a week or two", several weeks later, before being further pushed back to "four to twelve weeks' time"? There is no issue of the appartment being trashed.

I've no idea what can be done but my advice would to be get something in writing asap. Something stating property was left in order and deposit will be returned preferablly with a date by which it will be.

    Also check with PRTB

PRTB are useless they really do not wanna know. Same thing happened me and in end got sick of fighting for it and let him keep it.
