Toughest front nine !

Usually the hardest nine holes are reserved for the back nine, or at least a tough finish, especially championship courses, but some courses have a tougher front nine, for me its Fermoy, I just can't play that front nine at all !!

It all starts on the 1st, trees everywhere, where I can't make that dog-gone fairway. Then the long par 3 second, then the rolling fairway on the 4th, then the difficult drive on the 5th, a straightforeward par 3 6th (kinda), a calamatous par 5 7th (you really need to run down the fairway and place the ball for your blind 2nd to a rolling fairway and an eye-deceiving green (it slopes from left to right!), then a short but never easy par 4 (again the fairway slopes from right to left), then another tricky par 3 (index 18 my ass), then a tough par 4 dogleg 9th ! and then yeah........were onto the back nine !

So (after my rant)...... Whats your 'toughest' or 'hardest' front nine ?

Baltinglass. Starts with an uphill(v steep incline) par 4. Next is a par 3 over water but not too difficult. Most of the next 8 or so holes are really tight and surrounded by mature trees. The back nine by comparison is a lot easier and more open. It's the one course for me where the front nine is a lot more difficult.

the front nine in rosslare is by far the toughest front nine ive ever played. doesnt help that i was all over the place, but still it all played into the wind. In the first five holes 2 of the par 4s were into the wind and i couldnt reach while a 190 yard par 3 was downwind and i hit 8 iron to 10 feet. fome fun
