    It's true
And the place is packed as people finish work on Fridays.

Fair play to the management, it's working for them and good for the customers

add to the list if you think of any more. Pubs can charge what they want because people pay what they ask...

Perhaps a suggestion for boards.ie night out

fair play to you, i'm so sick n tired of being ripped off left, right and centre. just a quick example.... was down the country the last few days and went out for a few pints on tuesday night - 2 pints of Guinness - 7.20!!!!! plus we got a lock in, lol!
plus (not drink related, but even better) the clutch on my car went while i was down there, got the name of a guy from a friend of a friend of a friend kinda thing and he charged me 200 euro! got back to Dublin this eve and just out of curiosity, dropped into a garage around the corner - 475 euro for the same job!!!! SICK of it!!!!

Have to laugh at all the dub's thinking €3.70/€4 for a pint is suddenly a great deal. Rip-off price + small reduction = still a rip off / Septic Tiger days price for rest of Ireland.

OP sounds suspiciously like a VFI rep! Either that or Duffman

Save money on booze by fermenting fruit juice under a radiator and sneaking it into your local. Tastes the same as most of the popular beverages currently available there

This was Rí Rá's? I remember years ago they charged me to get in but let the girl I was with in for free. That was sexual discrimination if ever I've seen it. It still goes on in places. I wouldn't say it would stand up in a court of law if challenged.

:D:D Never had such a laugh at these prices, the prices quated were what you would pay for drinks down in Cork City in the height of the celtic tiger, and now people in Dublin think this is a great deal:D, in cork city at the moment i pay 2.90 for a pint of Guinness in a popular bar in the city centre 7 days a week and i only pay 2.50 for a pint of Beamish in a few other bars down here, jeez i have to wonder do Dubliners like getting it up the Ass from the pub owners.

Cheers for the list man will come in handy if I can remember it on a night out!

    True, more selling drink.

This euro thingy is a pain in the ass.
The government should follow the rest of the sane world and do away with 1c, 2c, 5c coins and use electronic transactions where possible and don't charge a fee for everyone.

Safe waking up in the morning with a load of shrapnel in your pocket.
