Whats with this Country! Well more so our politicians and decision makers ! Today Mary Coughlan announces a new plan to help out struggling businesses,as always comes with its own range of various stipulations. What angers me is that they have forgotten about businesses with less than 10 employee's and those involved within the services sector. To me its the small businesses that prop up the local economies and without them we would be really in a rut.

Why not make this policy across the board and let all businesses avail of this which would really help and kick start the economy again. Its crazy to think that if a small business was struggling and was thinking of letting staff go then rather than letting them sign on why not make an allowance available to them depending on a means test and keep them in employment! Therefore weekly PRSI AND PAYE commitments are still being made.

My gripe really is that all businesses are struggling those with only 1 person to those with 500! Why be so selective and target only the manufacturing and bigger employers. With the banks these days not permitting credit to small business its just another frustration for those whom want to make the effort and make their business function.
