Just want to apologise in advance for the stupid question in this post.

The veins in my hands seem to protrude out a lot more than they used too, esp after working out. Am I imagining it? Surely lifting weights doesn't change your hands??

Vascularity is increased because your heart rate is raised and your veins are shuttling nutrients to your muscles and unwanted toxins out.

Why is it that some people say that drinking lots of water results in your veins bulging out a lot more? But does that not contradict what bodybuilders do prior to a show to have their veins showing (i.e. dehydrate themselves)?
