    Hi has anyone gone to Egypt in the last few months?.
    I ordered Egyptian pounds in bank and now the said the dont do this currancey to use English Pound or US Dollar, can anyone help me with this?.Do I buy there currancey out there?.Travel agent not very help full with this either.:confused:

    Just buy some E£ at the airport when you arrive, or withdraw some from an ATM. No need to bring sterling, if you already have Euro. Tourist shops often take Euro, $ etc and the local pound is fine for smaller transactions.

    Bring euro, especially some coins for tipping and then withdraw from the ATM when you're there.

    Just change you euro's at your hotel or at the airport. You will have no problems. Also have a graet time as Egypt is a fantastic country..

    I'm not sure, the locals were the ones who wanted the hard currency.
