Book it yourself, it is so simple. Fly to Faro, and a public bus will bring you straight to albufeira. As regards accomodation; I suppose just check out hostelworld.com herehttp://www.hostelworld.com/findabed.php?Search=1&ChosenCity=albufeira&ChosenCountry=portugal for hotels and hostels. If you see somewhere you like for a good price than just put your deposit down, if not then look at other sites. Albufeira is a nice town; friendly people, cheap food, beach, sun, nightlife

Me'n'FunkyMa stayed in the Almar apartments, last February. They're within easy walking distance of the town(actually up behind the town hall). The picture shows the view of the town, from a pool view apartment. :)

we stayed in the Hotel Apartamento Brisa Sol, lovely place, great location, right next door to a huge supermarket, short walk from the main town centre, 10 mins walk from the bus station, we booked on http://www.otel.com
