I don't know how this snuck under the radar until now but I saw a bit in the paper about it today and did some more searching to get this
    http://www.phoenixparkmotorraces.eu

It's on this weekend 8th/9th August and is completely free. It wasn't on last year but the year before I went both days and it was great. They even had Ireland's only Bugatti Veryon there that year.

A friend and I will be bringing cars up for the weekend. Can't wait! Unfortunately, this is where two of my hobbies collide, so it means I won't get any shots of our races.

If anyone manages to get a few shots of the blue Avenger in the historics or the white M3 (several shades of white - liberal post processing would be great :P) in the Libre Saloons - send me a PM after the event!

Thanks and enjoy the racing, it's usually a great event.

Anyone know if its possible to get a map of the track, or even some reccomendations on likely spots for the action. :)

Yeah, if you go to ppmr.ie, you'll find a circuit plan in the downloads section, under spectator information. I'd say the first corner (PR Reilly corner on the map) would be the best when everyone arrives into it at the same time - especially for the Historics and Formula Libre (Dublin GP). The Fiats can be pretty spectacular coming into the first corner too. The Furry Glen is usually pretty good too as the entry speeds are high - you'll get lots of people locking up brakes on the way in. There is a safety railing all the way around the track, so you'll be away from the action a little.

The Paddock is over in the carpark of Farmleigh - there will be a lot of cars on static display there - as well as the action around the competition cars.
Unfortunately, this means it is some distance away from the track, although I believe there will be a shuttle bus running.

If anyone gets any shots of me let me know
I will be one of the slower cars in the Formula Libre Race
    Red single seater number 92

    Thanks

Anyone manage to get any shots of the White M3 (131) in the Saloon Libre races? Or the Blue Avenger (13) in the Historics races?

The paddock was so far away from the track, we didn't get out to see any races over the weekend. :(

Racing one day 1 finished at 7pm yesterday at 5pm, give them a chance!!!!!

check octane.ie for some photos and links to others

There is already 3-4 youtube vids up already!

If you have any you can submit them to the phoenix park website on ppmr.ie:)

Racing day 1 finished at 6, I was out of the paddocks and out of the park by 6.15 :)

The prob with octane is that we were all in the paddocks so nobody really got a good chance to take photos.
