Connecting ot the TV

    Just as the title says i want to connect my laptop to the tv. I've gone through other queries on here but i'm completely confused now with all the s-video, adaptors, VGA and the like.

    Basically it's an Acer 7730G and a Sharp LCDTV. Both have HDMI ports so is it as simple as just buying a HDMI cable to be able to connect the laptop to the tv?
