Damp proofing

Has anyone had old exterior house walls treated for damp. These walls appear to be solid block. The house was built around mid forties. I heard walls can be injected. Is this expensive. The house (bungalow) is about 35'x 20' detached. Does this work or are there better ways.
    Any ideas.

There is a couple of different options but it usually starts with a survery by the company. Contact protim abrasives they specialise in this area. Having seen them do a lot of state houses this in exactly what they do.
