If all you need is a hard drive for internet and one game, then you really dont need a very expensive hard drive really. Im assuming you mean internal? tho i may be wrong. If you mean a portable external hard drive ignore this.....
Generally I'd advise against anyone buying a hard drive with less than 200GB storage these days as its not expensive and you will eventually gather up stuff. www.komplett.ie are a very good place to find deals and cheap components, ncie staff too if problems arise.

5400rpm is standard hd speed for laptops and by the soudns of it you dont need anything faster. Although you would want to check compatability with your vostro, These seem like possibilities.

is a nice and very trustworthy drive.

So mate would I be right in saying that the hard drive you recommended
is more than 5 times bigger than the standard Vostro 1000 hard drive which I think is 60gb?

    WD 320GB 5400rpm, €60, can't go wrong.

You don't need the capacity from the sounds of it, but you may as well get it anyway, they don't get much cheaper, and that's a good drive.

Your your right indeed, no problem. Vostro 1000 is a old one now, hard drives have moved on!
