I was interested in the Post by Fizman, who was enquiring as to the availability of testing on gerneic on-line tablets.
There was a comment made " wouldnt it be much easier to just buy the correct stuff from a reputable pharmacist? " and the thread was closed.

I have to take tablets everyday for life.

Cost from Irish Pharmacy is € 800.00 per annum (approx)
Cost from Spanish Pharmacy is € 56.00 - Three months supply.
This is a like for like comparison, not even a generic.

So, I suppose the answer to that question is, No .

As generic tablets are even cheaper, I would be really interested in having the Thread / Subject re-instated.

I would welcome the Mods opinion on this one before anything more is said.

    .
    Jay

Discussing or providing information on illegal activity is not permitted on boards.

It is illegal to import medicines into ireland (which includes online ordering of drugs) without the correct importation documents - this is from the Irish Medicines Board which regulates drug licenses in ireland.

The reason why drugs are cheaper in other countries has been well explored already in the other pharmacy thread and is related to the irish government agreeing a set price with the manufcaturers and wholesalers of the drugs which is significantly above what was negotiated in other countries. The reason why the government agreed a price well above the european average with pharmaceutical companies is something for the HSE to comment on.

    Thread closed.
