Ive had booth the IVT civic and the jap SIR civic booth cars had rust booth cars need new bushing's and a lot of money there money pits sadly, if you can get one cheep its going to need work.

The rear sills/ under body tends to fall out, A frame has rubbers which tend to leak, which cause rust in the recess, gear boxs tend to have mashed syncros.

engines tend to need new rocker seals.
    I could go on :).

be aware they tend to need a lot of work sadly :( but great car's especially if you can get a jap SIR with a plated diff and a cool dry night..
