    Hi all,

I'm moving into a new build which has UPC tv points in the rooms like these.

    Some questions :)
What can I pick up with these?
Do UPC need to drill walls and run cables if I want to get digital +?

Ideally I would like digital + in my sitting room and standard channels in bedroom/kitchen, is this possible?

    Thanks in advance.

    Neil.

You can not pick up anything with that as the tap outside your house will not be turned on.

If you order any service from UPC they will turn on the tap outside and your signal will come through that point no holes need to be drilled.

You are not meant to go near that point yourself UPC will do it for you.

    Thanks for the reply :)

I got a letter in the door stating the tv points were infact turned on. I have not checked this as I have not moved in yet.

So just to confirm, if I wanted digital + the feed would come from one of these points?

Yes it comes it through these points along with broadband and phone if you want.
If you hook up a cable now you will get 17 analog channels but if you watch you must pay it's the law.

One more thing if you pay an extra 2.50 a month you will get HD Digital +.

That's great Ranicand, thanks for the info :D

I had visions of them drilling holes in my newly plastered walls!
