Men's Health Forum Fantasy Football 2009

That time of year again folks, with the new EPL season just around the corner.

Cancer Research UK and Men's Health Magazine have gotten together to run a Fantasy Football Comp, with a donation from the publishers of Men's Health to Cancer Research for every signup.

So in the spirit of the forum, I've created a Men's Health League, which can be found at http://www.cancerresearchuk.fantasyleague.com/Index.aspx

Once you've registered, pick your team, and then follow the link to the Private League Section. The pin code for the MH league is 614, just enter that and you'll get in.

I'm a huge sunderland fan, so I've gotta have faith, as he's having a medical up there today. Though he's listed as a spurs player still. I have a feeling we're gonna have an ok season, which is why I picked him. But many years of footie disappointment have taught me never to take anything for granted on wearside.

Without sounding big-headed, I'm confident of a top 3 finish, I have to say.

What's the story with the transfers? Does it just mean I can put some of my players back and buy new ones?

I've mailed about 20 of my mates on facebook about it, and I've given them the pin number. Hope that's OK. Good few of them are on boards, but they just wouldn't be on this forum.

Doesn't look like we could make up any kind of a league from just boardsies anyway.

Someone should make a sig, too. I've no idea how to do that. But it might attract a few punters.

Yes. Transfers are free at the minute, which I think means the prices don't change when you sell.
That might not be the case once the season proper begins.

Good idea. I'll knock up a sig today. Might try some canvassing too.

It will be simple but effective ... a bit like meself.

Yea, I managed to successfully negotiate that. Slightly enhanced my midfield by adding in Lorik Cana from my beloved Sunderland.

He's gonna be an animal this season.

nearly everyone has gone for Given in goal. Those 2 new teams look decent. still quietly confident though
