have googled and not come up with anything for the mac, seems to be plenty for windows but i dont and wont use a windows machine! what i am looking for would be a program that if possible could draw names / numbers randomly and then do a second draw to select a prize from a given list... hope that makes sense to someone, am willing to pay for same. ideally capable of dealing with about 1000 names/ numbers and allocating 100 prizes.. any recommendations?

If you don't want to run windows (not even in a virtual machine), you still can give this a try to see if it runs the windows app:

I do not know of any program of such kind for OS X but it's not very difficult to do all this in a shell script if you have a list of all the names/prizes in text files.
I can do it for you if you need this.

How professional does it need to be? Would something like this in excel do?

I'm a Mac developer, I could do this for you. How much are you willing to pay? Where would the names/numbers come from? (e.g. how are they supplied by the user).
