"The woman currently shows no signs of AIDS and remains untreated, though she still carries the virus, the researchers said."

"A new strain of the virus that causes AIDS has been discovered in a woman from the African nation of Cameroon. It differs from the three known strains of human immunodeficiency virus and appears to be closely related to a form of simian virus recently discovered in wild gorillas"

there will always be someone who is immune like the guy in America who could not get cancer, the wemon in Africa who got the Ebola virus and recovered, using there blood to do a transfusion to people who were not getting better it worked, but there was uproar in Germany and France about this, they wanted to do 20 yrs test first.

    Someone who couldnt get cancer?

HIV is one of the most mutagenic viruses in existence, the RNA in the virus is inherently unstable and this is why you cannot just treat it with one drug - but need to use 3 or 4 at the same time because it would become immune within a few months to one drug but the chance of 3 simultaneous mutations is much, much lower.

So the chance of it adapting itself from chimpanzees to gorillas to humans rapidly is well believable. However, so long as the virus remains inherently extremely fragile, it cannot become airborne and actually spread aggresively.

well its not so much that he cant get it but his immune system is such that it is not effected by most or a large percentage of cancers
