COD4 is been ruined

As a regular player of this game, it comes to me with great sadness that one of the best multiplayer games on the PS3 is been destroyed by hackers.
These "people" are using some glitch were by they fly around the maps or stay in secret rooms and shoot anyother player that walks past them, yet opposing members cannot shoot them.
It has become so common now that it is happening on nearly every match I play, there is always at least one wanker who is using this hack. It completley ruins the game for everyone else.
Simply do a search of youtube yourselves and you will see exactly what I am talking about. I am not going to provide a link myself because I do not want to spread this disease.

Your a lucky man, I was playing for about 30 mins last night and couldnt avoid these guys.

I'm in the same boat as Giggsy, my ps3 died as well before this crap started. Does the likes of Deep Impact not work on the buildings/rooms they are in?

See they are usually in the steel containers located on various maps around the game, so you are essentially shooting blindly if you try to kill them. Also when you see the replay of them killing you from there point of view, they can see out perfectly so its really a double whammy.

Was playing search and destroy earlier and I got hacked. I've never Used a hack in my life! Was giving out to someone hacking in the previous game and the next game I was playing he put ME in god mode, instantly I left and tried to change my password and the ps3 would not let me. A reboot sorted that but I'm afraid now I'm going to be banned seeing as IW are doing that. Avoid anyone in the Sky+ clan like the plague, everyone in that clan was glitching and one of it's members did it to me.

I really can never understand how anyone would get any satisfaction of winning a game by cheating like that. It's just so pointless. I"d find it so unsatisying! I don't mind winning cheaply by blind luck or being sneaky without the boundaries of the game. Glitching and other forms of outright cheating though are just so stupid, childish and pointless.

Report report report im usually not one for advising people to report others but this cheating does my head in. It really is pathetic whats the point of doing something that you cant lose at, surely after 2 games of the glitch you would get bored.

If a clan is doing it report them to both IW and sony. IW are looking to get peoples PSID banned for good which is totally fair in my book.

encourage every one else playing to game to report them, If IW get a report from 5 or 6 people in the 1 match about cheating they will have a better chance to ban them.

No some people are doing it because they themselves are bored and want to ruin it for others, its not about stats or winning for them its just they want the satisfaction of pissing someone off.

Wait. Is the God Mode basically Noclip? You can go anywhere in the map, through Walls or the floor?

Some of the stats are ridiclous!! In one deathmatch there was a guy glitching and got 40 kills without been killed once.

It's happening now almost everytime I play now was in team deathmatch earlier on it was funny watch a guy chasing a helicopter and I'll confess to having a go at getting to impossible places with friends in private matchs but we are all in agreement afterwords,why bother if your playing?,no skill in cheating,it's also good to hear a patch will sort it out.

I was playing a free-for-all on Bog the other night and there was 1 guy under the map.

Needless to say he won it with 25 kills and 0 deaths. I was so pissed off. It was bad enough happening in COD5 but now there's ass-holes wrecking COD4 as well!

Haven't played cod4 in a few days, was fine when i left it. Been hearing form my mates though that it's gone to the dogs. I'm impressed that IW are taking the time to address the issue seeing as about 95% of their staff are probably working on MW2.

Played Vacant, Overgrown and one other and each time had a least one of these twats in the sky, flying around or top on crazy buildings...

How do they ban a PSNID? Can you not just create another one?

Where can you report, Its gone to a stage where I dont even want to play the game as every second person seems to be flying around.
I went into a game the other day and found myself up in the sky, no idea what happened, no-one else visible in the game and players kept timing out. HAd to knock off the ps3 to leave the game. Couldn't quit

That's what happened me. Was on HC S&D this morning and didn't see any hackers... The playlist update that Infinity Ward said was going live must have worked... Well at least i didn't notice any hackers...

Man I hate stuff like that. Don't play COD4 or 5 any more so glad I never experienced any of that.

I remember I used to play Team Fortress 2 a lot, then hadn't played it in a few months, so said I'll start playing it again. That didn't last long. Leave for a few months and suddenly sentry guns are built in the sky, or behind walls. Players standing in plain sight but you're not able to hit them. Wrecks the entire game.

Just watched a few clips there and found some of them funny. But thats only because i haven't been a victim of these hackers yet. It would drive me nuts if it happened to me. I haven't been playing Mod WF lately. Looks like it's just as well. I've been busy with WaW. Has anyone come across these hackers/fcukers on Waw? I've not come across them yet.

Seems to be all good now on COD4. Fair play to Activision for such a quick response. No flying a$$holes anymore
