Seen a fairly large crowd tonight on O'Connell bridge this evening, some in swimming costumes. Some kind of swim going on I'm sure but who in their right mind would volunteer to actually get in the liffey water and swim. (except perhaps to save some who needed saving) I'm intrigued, not just by what I'm sure must be a worthy cause, but by the host of diseases their sure to pick up.
Does anyone know what was going on.

The Liffey is quiet clean! I'm not messing, I have never gotten sick from swimming in it. There are otters near town, they need a massive amount of fish to survive, and those fish mean clean water...
