    Guys,

Not sure if this belongs in the 3.0 thread but.....

What’s the best option for mobile broadband on a jailbroken 2G iPhone? AFAIK a 3 Mobile 3G Sim won’t work in a 2G iPhone. Anyone out there got any suggestions?

    Cheers.

The 2G phones do not support 3G which is why the 3 SIM is not going to work too well. Your only other option is Edge which is Sloooooow

Yeah, the 3 SIM doesn't work at all. I was wondering if anyone had any experience with Vodafone, Meteor or O2s mobile broadband packages on a 2G iPhone?

The point I was making was, it is impossible to use the 3G network on a 2G phone - irrelevant of operator. Mobile broadband uses 3G.

You can if you want use EDGE or GPRS but they are both slow and not usable for surfing the web in my opinion.

Cheers. Looks like I'll have to go for a 3G.
