just having a nose in easons today fro a bit of reading material, didn't spot your book there by the way kevin(didn't ask either...sorry):o....will pick it up from waterstones next time;)

any way picked up the "world atlas of golf" reduced from €40 to €10,
what its about basically the top courses worldwide,it gives the couse layout, maybe some historical facts, design facts,a few hole descriptions, maybe finishing/tough stretch descriptions, recounting of a particular epic shot/situation that happened,
also there is a bit about the history of the game, golden age, modern age, course design, routing and bunker layout,

its a big book bout 100 courses 2-3 pages on each, maybe not everyone's cup of tea but great value, one of those you'd pick up from time to time or maybe when a major is on as a bit of a refresher on the couses as mostly these are the types covered,

would be a nice present maybe,

anyway have a peep at it if your shopping instead of golfing due to more sh1t weather this weekend:(

Sounds good - which Easons is it in?

Always useful to have a back-up present in the cupboard, for a rainy day (no pun intended). Those big books are great for that sort of thing. They're also useful for throwing at golfers who trip over a blade of grass, hurt one of their calves and sue the golf club.
