Which bike to get?

    Hi there - long time reader - first time poster :)


    So I've a query...

    I'm able to get the cycle to work scheme in work and I've been through many shops by now (so that thread on the best bike shops was very useful) and I have narrowed down my choices to these two bikes

    Trek Valencia in Macdonnells Camden st. for 600

    or Trek 7.5 in 2 wheels Sandymount for 750 -

    which to get?

    As a general commuter but touring wannabe I'm thinking the latter sounds better, but I'm still a novice, however the valencia is prettier!

    Also gonna get panniers+carrier, mud guard, lights, locks & raingear. Any further ideas? I've been toying with the idea of a hub dynamo and disc brakes but I heard the formers makes your bike much heavier and the latter isn't needed unless you mountain bike it.

    Would really appreciate any thoughts comments anyone has?
