Highest Deposit Rates?

    Anglo Irish offer a 6 month Savings Account at a rate of around 5.035%

    Does anyone know of any savings / investment product in Ireland that offers higher than this for
    locking your money in for a period of say 12 months / 2 years etc?.

    is it only deposit rates you are interested in?
    If yes - check out investec, they are not covered under government guarantee, but i think their rate are higher.

    If no - there are quite a few investment bonds out there that project returns of around 8%. Most of these are underwritten by banks, who are covered under the GG and offer 100% capital protection.

    Deposit rates are falling and will continue to fall, also cash isnt a long term investment

    It seems that you are after a term deposit.
