Seen a lovely house amazin not great price but nice house.

only downside on the brochure it say grounds keeping charges paid to next year.

Its a small estate and not that big. and you have to pay someone every year to look after it ?

what ? Is there anyway out of this or anyway to get away with paying it ?

Ive lived in dublin 20 years and never heard of this.

do yea have to pay what if you yourself and your family dont want to...

    your thoughts

if you dont pay you can never sell the property. Your also likely to eventually have a judgement against oyu in court to force you to pay and you will mess up your credit rating.

so basically you will have to pay.

    that sounds terrible

sounds like a scam. does it go on a lot. it was only a tiny estate.

how is it a scam ? Its the same as management fees on apartments. Its not a hidden cost is being presented up front as a term of the sale.

if you dont like it you simple dont put in an offer for the property.

This is most likely to cover things like maintenance of common areas, cost of street lighting as may not be transfered to the council / might have been part of the terms of planning acceptance etc etc.
