How Are Houses In Newbridge So Expensive ?

    was looking on daft there. and houses in newbridge are so expensive to buy there but everywhere in ireland the prices are dropping in this boom.

    but still the prices have'nt dropped in newbridge at all.

    any thoughts on this why it is.

    newbridge is a commuter town to dublin, it has direct trains in and out. Also newbridge has two large companies - Oral b and wyeth.
    People think that because of this they dont need to drop they're prices. On the other hand, houses are being left empty for months and no-one is looking due to the prices.

    Newbridge is now very affordable for housing compared to Naas and north Kildare.

    Take this 4 bed detached for 275k <SNIP>

    Would be over 350k in Naas.
