Hughes has to be the obvious front runner.

I might have a punt on Paul Hart though.

Ancelotti should also be a choice. he's by NO means guaranteed to be a success.

Doubt Hughes will be the first to go.

If he was going to be sacked it would have been at the end of last season.

    Ancelotti for me.

Especially after what Chelsea did last year.

maybe he's just not doing anything.

he went in one morning, told them to play 442, then left them at it.

he really has been very very quiet.

Surely Mark Hughes has to be leading candidate. With all that money and the players they've signed. If they're not working Hughes is out of there come October I'd reckon.

    Hughes for me.

    Quiet? No.

EDIT: Oh yeah Hughes will be gone first imo.

Hughes - every new signing he makes inches him closer to the exit door.

But someone else will probably go before him - Brown possibly, he seems somewhat unstable and Hull have been in rank form for 8 months, or maybe Martinez, untested manager at a small club.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 46,837 ✭✭✭✭Mitch Connor

Paul Hart imo. If the take over happens (has it gone through officially?) they will have money to spend and I don't think he is the guy they will want to spend it.

Brown is a possibility, but I don't see Wigan sacking Martinez too quickly, Whelan seems like a guy who will back his manager longer than most.

Phil Brown at Hul. He needs to ditch that stupid head set he wears.

oh, and ancelotti has been far to quite. very quite man

If we go with 'Sparky' then we can save some cash as the 'S' is already there ;)

The book is being thrown at Hughes in this thread, I think he'll be alright. Wigan for me will struggle, moreso if they lose Cattermole, so it's Martinez for me.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 6,478 ✭✭✭Bubs101

Rafa or Phil Brown for me. Liverpool's hopes were raised last season so if they fail to compete immediately this season with the added threat of City I think he'll be gone quicker than Carlo, Wenger and Fergie (latter 2 will never be sacked). Phil Brown was so **** towards the end of last year if he continues in that vain he must go.

Dave Whelan said he won't sack Martinez even if they are relegated, good luck with that.

Don't see how Portsmouth can sack Hart. They know for a fact they're up **** creek next season and are forcing him to sell without any money

I've got a funny feeling Martin O'Neil could be on a shaky peg to be honest.

They had a fairly miserable last quarter of last season and if things dont start well this year he could be in trouble.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 40,919 ✭✭✭✭Xavi6

Hughes will be safe until Christmas. Of course results matter but the board appear to be very patient (he could've gone around Christmas last year after we got done by WBA, Stoke and Forest around the same time).

    I hope 'Arry goes first.

Benitez if he sells Alonso and fails to get in a suitable replacement and Liverpool start poorly

its between Paul Hart at pompey and Sparky at city. If city do well then he may get till the end of the season

Wishful thinking maybe, but no, that won't happen.

With Newcastle relegated this market is a lot tougher as they would have been the default pick for the last number of years. Personnally I think City are going to perform well this season, and therefore think Hughes will be safe enough. If there's any justice in football (and there isn't) Phil Brown will be sacked before the season starts and we will never hear from him again.

Wenger has a job for life, no way he'll be sacked any time soon. He'll leave when he wants to.

Oh and for me its a straight fight between Paul Hart and Phil Brown

Paul Hart - new owners, and he's far from top quality. They'd get rid of him if poor results rolled along.

sorry slingerz but i think it is fairly obvious that rafa does not want to sell alonso... also think it a bit rich only putting some of the managers name down on list all are fair game including your man at old trafford(oh how happy i would be)

Like Hull and Stoke were defo going to go down before the start of last season?

Nothing is definite in the Premiership...apart from the fact that the top four clubs will be in and around the top four places...again.

I think Hart will be the one.
