Personal Injuries Barrister?

    Hi there,

I'm looking for a Barrister to give me a legal opinion on a personal injury claim as a result of a minor car accident. I am dealing direct with the insurance company and have not yet decided to go legal. What i'm looking for is a legal opinion based on my doctors report as to how much my claim could possibly be worth if it were to go legal.

I am due to meet with the claims agent for the insurance company in the next couple of weeks to discuss a settlement and they already have my doctors report.

At present i don't have a solicitor and was hoping to avoid that cost and deal direct with a barrister who could give me quick opinion for cash given I don't intend to take the case to court.

Please PM me if you think you can advise me and i can advise full details of my claim.

    Thanks.

You can't get an opinion from a barrister: barristers are not allowed deal with a member of the public.

A solicitor would give you an opinion if that is all you want. Just be very clear in your instructions. Alternatively look up the booklet of quantum on the injuries board website, it's not rocket science, then add the expenses you incurred for medical costs, and out of work expenses (loss of wages).

Good luck going against a legal trained and supported claims agent cause you're too tight to get a solicitor to do everything.

The last person I met that did this themselves settled for 3000, their medical expenses to date are over 5000. Their claim was worth around 30000.

No legal advice. Speak to a solicitor.
