Anyone got some time on their hands to collate all the new bike threads and update the wiki? The amount of what bike threads is crazy

Good idea- the Wiki was kicked off by this guy called Verb but then he disappeared, haven't seen him around for a good while now.

The problem with "what bike" advice is that it ages pretty quickly. We'd just end up with a really poor comparison shopping site.

Would be nice to have some info on hybrid components, to help sift the wheat from the chaff.

How about setting up some kind of simple review thread/doc that people can read through. As you buy/use a bike you post up a review, perhaps have a type of 10 star rating, post relivant links etc. It would be a one stop boards review page. They could all be stored in alphabetically in a sticky?
    Just a thought really.

I think a bike review is not a much better idea, as to review, you need to be impartial and hopefully testing many bikes. People buying their first new hybrid are going to love it no matter what.

A better idea would be to have all new bikes handed over to Lumen for a week, let him ride the crap out of them and construct a standard for fair and unbiased comparison between many types of hybrid.

Great idea. I need to be cured of my hybrid-rage.

I might actually buy a Carrera just to find out what it's like, since they're apparently indestructable. It would have to live outside though....
