I loved the guy, but he had been buried hard in the last year, so its no surprise at all. I blame the weed!

No surprise, too fond of the aul weed.

ROH need to get him back ASAP.

Or TNA need to reunite him with London and feud them with MCMG forever and ever.

terrible terrible waste, he could have done so much more and they coulda done so much more with him. Shoulda layed off the weed if reports are to be believed cos Spanky sure had the talent.

now before anyone else says it... London & Kendrick reunion?

edit: beaten to it by the bauld Flahavaj

Just look how great he was in the run up and during that Smackdown Scramble match last year and it all went quickly downhill from there. TNA should sign him and London and let them loose to help reinvigorate the X-Division.

I remember that well, he was great although you always feared he was a prop to get Zeke over.:(

The longest reign as Interim Champion. I knew he was gone once he was fed to Lawler's hand.

Yeah, once they forgot about THE Partner, he was a goner

Thats the very last guy that kept me watching Raw gone. I guess its nothing but Smackdown and ECW for me from now on.

He should have moved to japan and stayed over in Japan.

Its a shame a guy with great ability is just wasted.

Hardly a surprise given the way he has been used in the last few weeks, still a complete waste though, what a shame

Good grief what a fued that would be. Too much. Awesome.

Thinking of all the cruisers WWE have released/misused/not used over the last few years saddens me. Seriously, what a crazy division it could have been.......

Hopefully they won't waste more talent like Low Ki, I suppose the cruisers don't have "The Look"

On Low Ki, when is he expected to be back? I am beginning to get worried about his WWE future....

Not sure, he suffered it around Feb or March, so thats a longtime now. I think he'll get a shot. They seemed to be interested in feuding him with Rey at one stage, which would be pretty great.

About 8 years ago maybe. Ki is injury prone (aren't his knees almost f**ked beyond repair?) and short arse is barely mobile carrying the muscle of a man twice his size.

I hadn't heard that about Ki? I'd say they could have a pretty great match still. Rey has been fantastic this year. Obviously hes not the unreal flyer he was, but hes a good and smart enough worker to work around those weaknesses. And Ki is as good as ever IMO he had a real good MMA style match with Danielson in PWG not long before he signed with WWE and looked fantastic in new Japan around the same time. Also had a great match with Tyson Kidd in FCW (thats on you tube).

Yeah, you're probably right. The 8 years ago thing: Me and my buddy often wondered what a Ki/Rey match would be like. Of course this was way back when WCW was still in business and Ki was tearing up the Indy scene in the States. I suppose a match between them now is better than nothing, but what I wouldn't give to see them wrestle each other back in '01!

Oh stop. I don't suppose they ever wrestled when Rey did his little run of the indies after WCW folded? I know he wrestled Punk, Eddie and Ace Steele bizarrely enough in IWA:MS anyway.

On Ki, I seriously don't see any place for him. Bourne is the only flier they've tried to push recently, and that hasn't gone so well.

    Ki is just too small.

Super Crazy had the right of it. Leave before they make a joke out of you.

Ki is so much more than a flier now, he's dropped most of the high flying offence from his game that he used in his early career.

I think Bourne's done great all things considered, at least before he moved to RAW anyway. Far better than I ever could have hoped anyway.

Nah, I don't think so. Check out the Low Ki/Eddie Guerrero match from November 2001 if you haven't seen it. That was right after Guerrero was sacked from the E. An absolute stunner of a match.

    Which promotion was that?

Can't remember which company, but they used to run ECW's old New York venue, Elk's Lodge. I think they promoted the very last wrestling show in that building too. I think it's ICW, could be wrong though.

    The match in question:

    You have seen TNA right?

They have no idea how to use talent. He'd be wasted there unless they brought in London too and teamed them again.

. Bourne is the only flier they've tried to push recently, and that hasn't gone so well.

Baby steps and all. Bourne has not been on TV that long. We cannot expect him to be hot shotted. He is still learning the wwe trade.
    Ki is just too small.

He is not that small. And he isn't primarily a flier anymore. He can be used very well as mentioned against the likes of Rey, or Jericho. His stiff style is something which would work more against him than anything else. I cannot see Ki, of all people, compromising his ideals for the E (given that he is supposedly an almighty prick).

given the right partner he could challenge for the tag titles or even the X X division title

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 21,296 ✭✭✭✭gimmick

No. Kendrick does not need a partner to show his ability. He is excellent in the ring. he can wotk a mic. I think what was meant was that TNA somewhat dodgy booking would have him wasted again.

Back to ROH for a run with ya Spanky.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,600 ✭✭✭✭CMpunked

    He better go face.

I cant stand him as a heel.

And not even in a "I dont like you, your the heel... grrrr" kinda way.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 21,296 ✭✭✭✭gimmick

Jesus no, he is a horrid babyface. Certainly as he has been anytime I seen him. far too sugary and sweet. Even being called Spanky for gods sake is outrid.

I liked his The Brian Kendrick role.

    But why?

I just couldnt get into it. I agree that his whole babyface run was just that, Baby-faced, but having him more like evan bourne seems more him. Just a normal guy who likes wrestling and does it well.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,510 ✭✭✭Tricity Bendix

The Brian Kendrick was an awesome character. That Art of War promo was great, his over the top cowardly ways made him stand out, and as a heel he was able to apply some submissions and show he's not just one dimensional.
