    Far as i know it's off air at the moment.but will check with some friends in Lifford later and let you know.

    Thanks someone told me theyd ceased broadcasting (permanently ?) but I was wondering if this is correct

    It's definitely gone, shame I used to enjoy the local news programme they ran when I lived up that way.I once won tickets on ch9 for an edition of UTV's "The Kelly Show" broadcast from Derry's Millenium Forum,great night it was too.Anyways it's sad to see it gone.

    I was told some of its programming could be very entertaining (but often not in the sense the producers intended :D ) Never got the chance to see for myself though :(

    Thats why I enjoyed them so much lol. I remember 1 particular programme where locals in claudy blocked the main street to protest against the high volume of traffic especially HGV's speeding through the village(before the Strabane bypass was built),CH9 did a feature on the blockade getting peoples' opinion from both locals and motorists,most of the drivers were sympathetic to the locals viewpoint but 1 car driver went ballistic saying something like What the BLEEP do i care I'm BLEEPING late get that BLEEPING camera outta my face with spittle flying and face contorted and purple:eek:.
    I nearly died laughing

    Their being relaunched soon. Not sure when. The new owners are Magee University apparently. There are idents if you type in 'c9tv' into YouTube from this year. They look good.
