Is your computer booting off a CD or have you installed the Acronis OS Selector? If the latter, boot into your OS and uninstall it. It should (hopefully!) restore your original Windows bootloader.

Is there a graphic in the splash screen or just 2 lines of text at the very start of the boot process?

not sure what you mean by Acronis OS Selector

I have installed the Acronis True Image program so that i can make backups. My question is does it have to run at start up every day?

    Thanks
