    I know this forum seems pretty inactive but sure... why not, eh?

    What desperate deeds have you done in order to get a cigarette? I've heard stories of scouring ashtrays and making rollies out of the remaining tobacco. :P

    For me it was last night, which got me thinking of this thread. I spent about 20 minutes on my way home walking around the local village trying to find someone smoking. I eventually found a taxi driver leaning against his bonnet having one so I approached him and offered to buy a cigarette from him. He looked at me funnily and repeated slowly "You want to buy.... a cigarette... from me...?" I just replied "At this stage I'm bloody desperate."

    Anyway, he, very nicely, gave me a camel and wouldn't accept payment. First Camel I ever had and man was it great. Seriously made me consider switching from my usual Marlboro Reds. But it may have been my desperation that made it so great. Strange though, I don't usually get that desperate for a cigarette. Ah well :pac:
