    Heating or boiler?
Presume it's the air heater. If it's like mine ('94) it lights (just) when you hold down the round dial/knob - you should be able to see the rather blue flame. Obviously you hold it down for a while till it stays alight. Then rotate knob anticlockwise (on mine) to increase the flame - goes more yellow. To get a lot of heat out of it you ALSO need to turn the fan ("Trumavent") control box on - on mine there is a rotary dial (sets the fan speed I think) but also there is a confusing red switch with 3 positions - bottom position is off (I think), middle "A" is automatic - varies between nil and the max you set with dial, or the top position which is "manual" ie the fan runs at whatever speed you set on the dial. Obviously the 12V master switch in the van must be on too!

If it's the water boiler you are talking about - get back to me.

I have the Truma S3002K manual, and also the one for hte boiler if you need them.

Mine is a Truma C605-E. It's a combi so it heats water and air.

Mine is a Truma C605-E. It's a combi so it heats water and air.

Sounds like it's much newer than mine then!
Have you worked through the fault-finding page in the manual? page 10 of this:
    http://www.truma.com/_anweisungen/Truma-Katalog/pdf_verzeichnis/30_000/34020_29300.pdf

I presume yours has a vent above the roof? My old water heater has a vent out the side of the van with a removeable cover - if you forget to remove the cover it stops after a short while. A pain in fact as it's so easy to lose the vent cover and they cost a fortune to replace.....
Any chance the previous owner closed the vent for winterizing or something??
    Good hunting. db.
