I see a couple of references to the 1517 on here, but has anyone any experience of the short heavy barrel version ?

And would a list price of €1000 be reasonable ?

These rifles are extremely accurate I've fired two of them in the past couple of months and I reckon they would be hard to beat .
€1000 is about right on the money I've seen them advertised for up to €1200
and have also heard of a second hand one on the market at the moment for €1250:eek:

    Thanks foxhunter.

I was a little concerned with the 14.2 in barrel as from what I read, 18-20 inch barrels are ideal for 17hmr in terms of reaching maximum velosity.

    And just to confuse matters.....
My friend got rid of his after only a month, the dealer took it back without quibble 'cos it grouped like a flock of pigeons!
(Bold dealer currently has same gun on shelf for sale)
