The person would run 5k+ two or three days a week

    Height - 5'6"
    Weight - 47kgs

    8am - wake up
    10:30am - yoghurt and half a grapefruit
1:50am - tomoato soup, half a grapefruit, a carrot and three scallions
    4:30am - carrot and 2 scallions
    7:30am - carrot and 5 cherry tomoatos
10:45am - 225gs of baked beans and 3 slices of cheap ham

About 500mls of milk throughout the day.

No clear water and about 5 cups of black tea.

    Cheers!

    Are you a veggie??

You're diet is severely lacking in protein and carbs, and is about as balanced as my good self.

    Why all the carrots???
You really need to include some decent sources of protein..
    eggs
    meat
    poultry
    fish
    Dairy Products

    And some decent carbs..
    brown rice
    wholemeal pasta
quinoa- wicked source of protein too

Some nice green leafy veg ... just some balance in general

a carrot and 2 scallions like FFS

if you really want to immprove running times, you need to maimise the energy and nutritional value that you're getting from your food both for fuel and to aid recovery

If your goals are bad breath your playing a blinder. Add some cheap ham and cabbage to your morning meal and your good to go.

guys its quite likely its not for accession (read his log) and most likely for a female friend who if i am right is badly in need of protein, more good fats and will most likely just look a bit on the skinny fat side i.e. slim but no real muscle tone to speak of.

Correct me if i am wrong.

Overall diet is quite imbalanced - fruit and veg good but its not going to help her run any better and she should add in more weights as running is a really sloooooooooow way to make any kind of solid progress.

Is this real? I know this isn't you (unless you've lost a couple of inches and dropped 20-odd kg since you started your log) but I'm guessing it's a female.

This person has a BMI of 16.6. They are horrifically underweight, they are undereating and putting themselves in grave and very, very real danger.

That diet will get you killed by Elmer Fudd if you're not careful.

itsallaboutheL is very correct here, it really is an atrocious diet for anyone, let alone someone trying to exercise! Definitely not enough protein, carbs or good fats to survive.

Some good info to be taken from this post OP and direct whoever wants the advice to the Nutrition and Diet forum too:) That quinoa can be used as a substitute for potato in a dish:) they do have some milk during the day but i would recommend some yogurt too. Even as a veggie myself i wouldnt eat that much veg in a day, but instead get in the essentials when possible.

OP, as someone who runs at least 10k 3 times a week and trains as a hurler 2 nights too i would imagine the person whose diet we are critiquing must not have good physiology either (bad digestion/bad skin/bad circulation/bad breathing no?

i'd love to see how that person eats the scallions...i'm guessing raw cause theres not much else you could do with those two ingredients.

as couple of other people hinted at here, are you trying to convince some to stop carrying on with this diet?
