How do i register laptops on dell website

hi, i was wondering does any doby know if its possible to register laptops on dell websites.

Why would one do this in the first place?

basically to keep track of when the laptop was bought..i work for a company and they want us to register all laptops and computers with the manufacturer!

If it was bought by you from Dell it already is.

If it was bought second hand with no warranty your straight out of luck as Dell now have nothing to do with you.

If it was bought second hand during warranty you are going to have to get the last owner to change the registration details with Dell.

As Cuddlesworth said, if bought direct from Dell it's already registered.
Go here and enter the service tag number. It'll give you the warranty, ship date and system configuration when purchased.

Dell allow you to associate a list of PCs with an account.

Create a dell account, then click on Support, My Systems and peripherals list.
You can add a list of computers by service tag which is handy for keeping track of a small number of machines, warranty and service call status.
