more questions about Rent Allowance :)

I am 23 years old and I am planning on starting a course (in a private college) in Dublin soon and I am currently receiving Jobseekers Benefit. I will need to rent a room in Dublin for the forseeable future. (I am *hoping* to find part-time work also at the same time.)

As a single 23 y/o guy living away from home, what weekly rent allowance will I be entitled to if I am going to rent a room? For how many weeks will I be entitled to claim the allowance? Is it a difficult/long process to apply for and begin receiving the rent allowance?

Once I begin receiving rent allowance, will my current rate of Jobseekers Benefit be affected?

    Thanks in advance.

It all depends on whether they let you keep the JB or not while you're taking the course.

And on what will that decision depend?
