    Hi,

I am looking for some advice please. I need to get four new tyres for my 2006 Renault Grand Scenic. The present tyres are Michelin size - 205 60 R16 92H.

I hope (actually have no other choice!) to keep the car for another few years and while cost is important I want to get a decent set. Price wise I suppose something mid-range.

Does anyone have suggestions on makes/models or have had experiences of different tyres? My driving is mainly in Dublin with the odd long trip down the country and occasionally to GB.

    Tks Geld

Well first of all I suppose

They do not make different tyres for Dublin drivers as opposed to UK or "down the country" as you call it.

16" tyres are plentiful in all the different brands. In that size you should pick up a set of 4 tyres for around €90-€110 a pop for a good premium brand.

You will only break your heart trying to find a specific tyre because each tyre bay will say "we dont do that brand" because their wholesalers doesnt or "not in stock" meaning dont wait for it to be because invariably it wont be.

Premium brands in my opinion are Pirelli, Michelin, Dunlop, Goodyear and bridgestone.
