Is it possible for me to receive 3e

I am using a SKY+ box with a satellite dish to receive free to air channels. 3e is supposed to be broadcast on channel 182 but when I press 182, the system says “channel unavailable”. Is it possible for me to receive 3e and if so, how do I tune my SKY+ receiver?

All the Irish stations are encrypted, none are FTA, if you want 3e, you need to sub to Sky (for sat) or UPC for MMDS/Cable.

Can you get 3e with an aerial? I know you can get TV3, RTE1 and 2 and TnaG. Would you get 3e with TV3 maybe?

Short, simple answer. No. As far as I'm aware, 3e is only carried on satellite or cable. Watched it a few times when I had my sky sub; nothing special. It seems to consist of wall to wall American crime shows.

Cheers blueser, I just got a dish and aerial fitted and was wondering if I was missing the station because I couldn't get 3e on the reciever or aerial. Thanks for clearing that up for me.

No problem. Should have said ''on satellite with an active Sky subscription.''
