Monitor High pitch beep

    Hi everyone,

    I have a samsung syncmaster 223bw and there is a high pitch steady beep coming from it. It happens sometimes and other times it's ok. It stops when I turn my monitor off. Sometimes this fixes it, sometimes not.

    Anyone know what's wrong and if there is something that can be done. I bought it second hand for 80e.

    Probably one of the inductors in the switching supply whining, you can try applying nail varnish or a small amount of hot melt to stop the whine.
