    Hi Guys,
I have a, what I think is a late 80's Squier Bullett. Does anyone know much about these particular guitars, apart from the usual "they're s#!t". The seriel no is E903931. It was made in Korea. Has a strat style headstock. One volume pot, one tone pot and the jack in the third pot position. Three single coil pickups, with a five way selector. On wikipedia it sounds like the S-3 that's described, but when I look up an S-3, generally they have a tele headstock. Anyone??? I'm just a bit OCD when it comes to model type/number. Cheers:pac:

The Bullets seem to be a mish mash of whatever parts were available. I have seen tele necks on strat bodies, strat necks on tele bodies etc.

I have the same model as yours.. bought in Liverpool in 1988 for £125.

bullets are a cheaper version of the squier strat you might say however the original made in the eighties in japan or korea( can't remember which) used tele headstocks. They also use strat bridges, tremelos and have a slighter thinner body than a squier strat and generally use poorer woods. At a guess I would say yours is plywood or basswood.

    hope this helps

forgot to mention S-3 refers to the 3 single coils yours uses.
The bullet with two humbuckers is the H2

That's it alright. Exact same. I love mine, bought it in 1990 2nd hand for £80Irl. The guy I bought it from had just bought an Ibanez Rg450 c/w Floyd Rose, the works. He came back to me 2 weeks later trying to buy it back... The Ibanez wouldn't stay in tune..:D haha. Any idea where I might get a scematic for it?

Thanks for that domrush. I do think it's ply. But it still sounds lovely...

Yea the Bullets all seem to be a little different so i think they were made up from various spare parts. I have a Fender Bullet. 81 or 82. It has a smaller than strat-style body. 2 single coils, three way selector stitch, One volume and one tone. It has a telecaster type neck. It says made in the USA on the headstock it but not sure if that is actually the case.

Mine is red with a back metal pickguard. The metal pickguard is what the bridge pieces are attached to also which is strange.

I love it though - its a great little guitar.
