Test Centre

Hi, wondering if someone on here can advise me on this. I know the first thing you're going to say is that it's not about the test centre...

Anyway, I'm just about to apply for my 3rd driving test. Failed twice before and also have postponed my test twice, so that's 4 times I've been on the waiting list. Every time, I stated my test centre preference was Churchtown and 3 out of the 4 times I was given the Rathgar centre. Once I was given the SGS centre out on the Southern Cross Road (Bray or Greystones sort of area)...

So my question is, can I refuse to do it in Rathgar, or do I just have to take what I get? I would prefer not to do it in Rathgar again as they have the lowest pass rate in the country.

I'm not going to go in to specifics about why I failed twice, but it was for fairly minor issues, that, in my opinion at least, could have gone either way.

Anyway - at the moment it just feels like I'll be on a provisional for eternity - I think I'm a competent driver, I just can't pass the test!!

    AAAAAAGH

I passed today in rathgar and the tester was grand, if you have a few lessons and practice lots you'll be ok. I have heard some of the testers in Churchtown are awful to get.

At the end of the day it comes down to how well you drive, the numbers mean nothing really.

PM me if you want good instructor he is brilliant really nice but will be tough on you too. He also has taught instructors and knows a lot of the testers and what they are like.
